Human life and health are the most valuable treasures, and in the struggle for it there are many unusual situations in which humanity and strength of spirit are manifested, and strangers unite for a common goal.
The Ukrainische Gemeinde NRW team was involved in this life story.
Anastasia and Andriy, the parents of 10-month-old Artem, turned to Asya Avetyan, a cardiovascular surgeon and director of the Vigilant Heart Charitable Foundation. They have already received refusals from hospitals in Ukraine and Germany, as the child has a serious diagnosis. Asya Avetyan became a charming fairy for Artem, who arranged for transportation, preparation of documentation, medical discharge, search for clinics.
Little Artem's long journey to a safe place began in the city of Kremenchuk (Ukraine) and an acquaintance with the Dobrobut medical network, which took the boy to the Lviv City Children's Hospital. Their family then flew to Poland, from where they were flown to Cologne, Germany, and transported to Essen.
May 13, 2022, Universitätsklinikum Essen on the initiative of Igor Bobro and Igor Denisyuk, who are the founders of Ukrainische Gemeinde NRW, together with Thorsten Kaatze and Dr. Eva Tschiedel accepted for treatment under a special program for a boy Artem from Ukraine.
Now little Artem is in safe hands, and his parents are sincerely grateful to everyone who joined in saving their son.
